The Mustang Room Renovated 2018
The North American P-51 Mustang was the hottest fighter of World War II, with speeds in excess of 430 miles per hour, extremely long range, good armament, and an incredible rate of climb. The Mustang was the ultimate evolution of a propeller-driven aircraft, and turned the tide of the air war over Europe in favor of the Allies.
Powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, with its unmistakable song, the Mustang today represents the pinnacle in personal aircraft ownership. With just over 300 Mustangs still flying world-wide, it has become the ultimate "sports car" of the air, with prices starting at over $1.2 million for an airworthy example.
You can experience some of the excitement and power of this stallion of the skies in our Mustang room. Featuring a queen sized bed, refrigerator, single-cup (Not K-cup) coffee maker, microwave, 32" HDTV featuring Spectrum Cable, and breakfast brought to your room each morning.
Much of the aviation decor in the room -- including actual parts of a P-51 Mustang -- was donated to us by P-51 owner/pilot Vlado Lenoch, who flies "Moonbeam McSwine" in airshows all across the U.S.
As a result, this room is utterly cool and unique!
